Privacy Policy
How Ingenix handles website analytics and information submitted to its tools.
Analytics
Ingenix uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages and tools are popular. Analytics is optional and is only loaded after you select “Accept analytics”.
What Google Analytics receives
Google Analytics may collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, referral source and interactions with the site. Ingenix does not intentionally send names, email addresses, IP addresses entered into tools, packet captures, Nmap files or other tool input to Google Analytics.
Tool data
Where a tool is described as browser-based, processing takes place in your browser. Files uploaded to the Packet Capture Analyser and Nmap / Zenmap Scan Analyser are processed locally by the site and are not intentionally uploaded to Ingenix servers.
Your choice
You can reject analytics when the consent notice appears. If you accept analytics and later want to withdraw consent, clear the Ingenix analytics preference in your browser's site storage and reload the site.
Third-party services
Some tools may make requests to third-party services, for example the DNS Record Lookup uses Cloudflare's public DNS-over-HTTPS service. Those requests are separate from Google Analytics consent and are described by the relevant tool where applicable.
Contact
Ingenix is an independent network engineering toolbox project. This policy will be expanded as additional services, advertising or other data processing are introduced.
