RAID Calculator
Calculate usable capacity, storage efficiency, fault tolerance and basic layout characteristics for common RAID levels.
Calculator assumptions
Calculations assume identical drive capacities and a conventional implementation of the selected RAID level. RAID 50 and RAID 60 divide the drives into equal-width RAID 5 or RAID 6 groups. Controller/filesystem overhead, formatting, metadata, snapshots and vendor-specific usable capacity are not included.
