How to use the recommendation

Use the result as a design starting point, then verify the exact cable, connector, transceiver and device specifications for the equipment being installed. Permanent links should be installed and tested to the applicable cabling standard. Cable distance is not the only design constraint: bandwidth, insertion loss, bend radius, EMI, PoE power budget and the capabilities of the end devices also matter.
