Calculator assumptions

Reach values are common Ethernet physical-layer design limits, not a guarantee that every transceiver, cable plant or vendor combination will work. Copper results use the conventional 100 m channel for 10GBASE-T; optical results use 10GBASE-SR on OM3/OM4 and 10GBASE-LR on OS2/G.652. DAC is treated as a short passive SFP+ interconnect and must be checked against the exact cable and switch/NIC specification.
